PEOPLE ARE GROSS.) ![]() ✅ Not to mention that she’s got autism (!) when it’s rare to find an autistic woman depicted realistically in media ✅ A book about a woman who works at a convenience store and is happy with her lot in life despite everyone telling her she should want more Convenience Store Woman by Sayaka Murata is an unassuming tiny book that somehow manages to hit all the sweet spots to be everything I’ve ever wanted in a book!īefore we dive into the meat of this review, let’s go ahead and look at all the things this book does right: ![]()
